Alamance County (N.C.) - Art

This poster combines images of Christianity and University Drive in Burlington. The artist's (Darrel Coble) method is to take known symbols and twist them. The poster depicts multiple symbols, including the University Drive sign, leading to smoke stacks and an image of Jesus on the cross. In the bottom right corner there is a cow and t-rex with wings (visible in obj01). To the left, there is a picture of a police hummer with Jesus on the top and a cloudy sky in the windows. The Alamance Crossing sign is in the middle of the image with a crucifixion of Jesus on the cross superseded over it. To the right of Jesus, there is a purple butterfly and an image of the illuminati pyramid with an eye on the dollar bill. Above that, there is a white flower, a blue bird sculpture, and Santa Claus on his sleigh. To the left of Santa is the "Welcome to the Fabulous Burvegas" Vegas Sign (seen in obj02), which has purple butterflies on both sides. Below "Burvegas" sign and above the Alamance Crossing sign is a golden winged lion statue and an image that reads "HOME SWEET HOME." The background is yellow.
